Department of Civil Engineering is the oldest department in the institute established in the year 1983. Civil Engineering is a branch that helps the world to develop and stand in the world with pride. Civil Engineers play a key role in the whole process from designing a project to bringing it to life and maintaining it. Civil Engineers are in great demand not only in our country but also abroad due to the increasing demand for development of infrastructural facilities like Buildings, Communication and Transportation facilities such as Highways, Bridges, Airports, Irrigation and Canals, Tunnels and Dams, Water Transport and Pollution control.
Department of Civil Engineering offers four years full time Under Graduate Course leading to B.E Degree in Civil Engineering and two years full-time Post-Graduate Course leading to M.E. Degree in Civil Engineering (Structures) of Savitribai Phule Pune University.
A brief overview of the department:
The motto of our department is to provide quality technical education along with hands-on experience in various subjects. Through its wide spectrum of core and elective subjects, the Department aims to develop both scientific and professional expertise. Our Department has highly skilled faculties with diverse backgrounds to nurture the talent of students. Our Department is well equipped with laboratory facilities and adequate computational power which will ensure the all-round development of our students. Apart from the Central Library of the Institute, Department has a separate Departmental Library with a good collection of Books, Learning Tools such as Video Cassettes, Transparencies, Charts, and CDs.
