Introduction

The Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil College of Engineering Central Library was set up in 1983 . The library building is located on the first floor of Administrative building and is spread over the area 704.33 sq.m. with the Reading Hall having seating capacity of 200 students. The Central Library is divided in various sections such as: Property Counter, Circulation Section (Issue-Return), Digital Library, Reprography Section, Periodicals Section, Newspaper Section, Book Processing Section, Stacking Section , Spacious Reading Hall

The Library is automated with the library software ‘Digital Softlib’ which includes: Acquisition, Accessioning, Web OPAC, Barcode Issue Return, periodicals record, various types of reports etc.

Library Mission

To facilitate convenient and user friendly access to current, global and relevant information by identifying, acquiring, organizing and retrieving information in various formats (print & non print) to serve the information needs of the academic fraternity of P.D.V.V.P.College of Engineering ,Ahmednagar to meet their teaching, research, consulting, training and learning requirements.

Library provides learning aids and information on all topics, as required by users.

The strength of the library is its digital collection of IEEE, ASCE, ASME, SPRINGER, SCIENCE DIRECT, NPTEL, DELNET, World E-books Library databases, accessible from any networked computer within the campus which provides scholarly, company and industry information.
