Head & Associate Professor, First Year Engineering Department
The First Year Engineering (F.E.) Department plays a crucial role in laying a strong foundation for budding engineers by focusing on core subjects such as Science, Mathematics, and fundamental engineering disciplines like Engineering Graphics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Programming Languages. Our goal is to equip students with essential technical knowledge while fostering analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
To foster creativity and innovation, we prioritize students to gain practical experience while being mentored by our dedicated faculty and expert guest lecturers. Our department is home to a team of highly experienced faculty, including Basic Science and Engineering discipline. All our faculty members hold advanced degrees (PhDs and postgraduate qualifications) and are deeply passionate about guiding students throughout their academic journey.
Beyond academic excellence, we are committed to the holistic development of our students. A well-balanced approach to academics, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities ensures that students grow into well-rounded individuals. With high-tech classrooms, modern laboratories, and state-of-the-art computing facilities, we provide an enriching and dynamic learning environment.
To promote student engagement and leadership, we appoint Class Representatives (CRs) for each division, ensuring representation from both male and female students. Regular meetings between CRs, faculty, principal, and the management are conducted twice every semester to address academic and administrative concerns. Additionally, Class Teachers and Subject Coordinators play a key role in maintaining academic discipline and enhancing the learning experience.
In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, we actively implement initiatives such as Yoga Education, Communication Skills Development, Co-Curricular Courses and the Indian Knowledge System. We also encourage students to participate in sports and cultural activities, ensuring their overall growth and well-being.
At the First Year Engineering Department, our commitment is to nurture a progressive learning environment where students are empowered with the knowledge, skills, and values essential for their future endeavors. We strive to inspire and guide our students toward excellence in both academics and personal development.
