The Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil College of Engineering Central Library was set up in 1983 . The library building is located on the first floor of Administrative building and is spread over the area 704.33 sq.m. with the Reading Hall having seating capacity of 200 students. The Central Library is divided in various sections such as: Property Counter, Circulation Section (Issue-Return), Digital Library, Reprography Section, Periodicals Section, Newspaper Section, Book Processing Section, Stacking Section , Spacious Reading Hall
The Library is automated with the library software ‘Digital Softlib’ which includes: Acquisition, Accessioning, Web OPAC, Barcode Issue Return, periodicals record, various types of reports etc.
The library’s mission is to provide convenient and user-friendly access to current, global, and relevant information by identifying, acquiring, organizing, and retrieving information in various print and non-print formats. It aims to serve the teaching, research, consulting, training, and learning needs of the academic community of D.V.V.P. College of Engineering, Ahilyanagar.
The library offers learning resources and information support across a wide range of subjects as required by its users. A major strength of the library is its rich digital collection, which includes access to databases and resources such as IEEE, ASCE, ASME, NPTEL, DELNET, and the World eBook Library. These digital resources are accessible from any networked computer within the campus and provide scholarly, company, and industry-related information.
